The Vitruvian
My first character here, and seriously one of my favorites. His physical description, especially, I tried to be seriously bizarre with. If anyone feels like meeting a scholar and possibly making a friend, while he is detached from the world of emotions he's definitely capable of trusting and favoring people, and his skill with magic, technology and scholarly technique make him a valuable ally.
Plans: The Vitruvian is curious about what's going on with this world, why it keeps changing, why it's so nonlinear and strange. He's going to find a library, and learn what he can from the books. If he can't learn anything, he's going to travel throughout the world with a large amount of writing material and he's going to document, understand, and dissect the world. He doesn't need a following or allies, but I, the writer, want to make a kind of 'dream-walker's guild' out of this, a series of 'mages' who use the god-twisted physics of the dream world to their own advantage and predict the regular change and orbiting of features in the world. Eventually, they'll fulfill such roles as being reliable guides in the moors and forests, having a permanent haven on the floating island from which they hope to study it, establishing and documenting the buildings in the city so they can be landmarked, etc. Basically, if enough people want in, the Vitruvian will lead a movement to build a knowledge base from which to build an actual, proper civilization within the facade of civilization that this strange, hollow dreamworld presents.
Other Plot Ideas (mostly single-sentence phrases that interest me)
The Lady of the Dandelions floats free in the dreamworld, drifting on the winds where she will.
