It could be said that the Lady of Dandelions' birth was quiet, but it certainly wasn't subtle. A wind began to blow in the rain-soaked, muggy forest, shifting the dark clouds inwards, as if drawn somewhere. On a nondescript point of jungle, a single dandelion seed blew past, fell to earth. Another. And another. Two. Four. Ten. Within a few minutes, a silent cloud of dandelion seeds was blowing through the jungle, several of them being intercepted by rain, more of them being caught in branches and the crooks of rain-bent leaves, but still the vast majority of them blowing through the jungle, towards the temple. As the power that fueled the endless storms carried on creating winds, the Lady of Dandelions felt the first spark of intelligence stir. Her first thought was that she had been waiting for something like this. Her second was that she was not powerful enough to stop herself being dispelled again if the winds took it into their heads to be stronger than she was. At the edge of the stone monoliths, a cloud of dandelion seeds blew in steady circles, silently riding currents of air, not touching anything. Then, they dispersed, and in the midst of them was a woman. The Lady of Dandelions was born.
She looked around, confusedly. The world didn't look like she thought it would, having experienced it as she had blowing over its planes, currents and surfaces, endlessly travelling but never seeing. She took a deep breath in, a breath out, and suddenly a dress of purest white lay over her, an extension of herself that would cover her from the worst of the wind if she needed it. She began exploring, the strange constructs of the pyramids piquing her playful interest. She jumped, and her power over the winds carried her to the top of a pyramid. She looked around at the dark, stormy land, surveying her new home and noting, curiously, that it ended suddenly and gave way to open sea. She blinked, and laughed. This must be the floating island! Twirling on the heel of a foot, she threw herself off of the pyramid and gently, silently alit at the foot of it, keeping the threatening winds still to the best of her ability so that she might not be blown off course. She set off further into the complex, noting the ever-growing monoliths, grinning crazily at the sheer beauty of it all. Hopping, skipping, jumping. She was in a good mood - today was her birthday. She dispersed into cloud, dropped to earth as a statue, landed soundlessly and laughed. "I am here!" she shouted, in an overgrown courtyard. "I am here!" She laughed, and the sound was a thing of beauty breaking, tinkling crystal falling down marble steps. Dancing, her chaotic mind buzzed with new energy. Now all she had to do was find people.
