Welcome to Hermann-Schmitt-Schule, a boarding school in Eckberg, Bavaria. The boarding school is a special one. Not only does it only accept students in their two final years of education (11/Junior & 12/Senior years), but ten years ago it underwent an academic transformation.
Its curriculum is currently taught in both German and English, as the school board believes that this will increase their students’ chances of success in the future. In addition, the long-awaited exchange programme is set to commence in the 2015-16 academic year as agreements have finally been achieved with the three partnered schools.
Students of HSS now have the chance to spend a semester abroad in either the Preston Academy in the United States, Trinity College in Australia or L’Alpin in Switzerland. Students from those schools are then also invited to spend either a semester or a full year at HSS, granted that they can reach the school’s requirements!
